About Me

I’m Jane “Sundreads” Kolesnikova — a human tuned to the rhythm of nature, craft, and honest expression.
To be yourself and to show it — that’s my core value.

SunDreads is more than a brand — it’s an extension of who I am. Since 2017, I’ve been a dreadlocks artist. For me, dreads are not just a hairstyle but a form of freedom, identity, and grounding. I craft them with care and intuition, always honoring each person’s vibe, story, and request.

In addition to dreadwork, I also create handmade jewelry and talismans for kindred souls. These pieces are inspired by nature, symbols, movement, and inner light. I especially love working with macramé, silver, and dreamcatchers — and lately, I’ve been exploring epoxy resin for new magical forms.

I’m a cat mom — and that’s a big part of who I am. I rescue, heal, socialize, and rehome cats, both through the PAWS for Compassion shelter and independently. For example, I brought two cats with me from Russia and adopted one here in Vietnam. This is my mission — to care for those who can’t speak but feel everything. I also work with the local Russian-speaking community: offering tours to the shelter, raising awareness, and inviting others to join the journey.

Because of moral and political reasons, I made the decision to leave Russia — and I’m not going back. It was a conscious, principled choice, and it continues to shape my path.

I wear tattoos, piercings, cat hair, and meaning. I love bold jewelry — but more than that, I create pieces that are not just pretty but personal, wild, and real. Everyone deserves a talisman that resonates with their soul — and that’s exactly what I aim to make.

Moreover, I’m open to barter, co-creation, and collaboration with photographers, artists, makers, and storytellers.
So, if any of this resonates with you — feel free to reach out. I’d love to create something special, just for you.
